All are welcome to participate in Euclid’s Wind Festival at Sims Park on Euclid’s beautiful Lake Erie waterfront.

Tom Evert, the artistic director of DANCEVERT located in Shore Cultural Centre is assembling a cast of participants in a parade featuring wind-themed costumes, dancing, banners, music, bubbles, and   artworks to create this inaugural  energetic and creative offering for the festival.

All ages and abilities are welcome to participate. There will be two runs of the parade on the paved paths at Sims Park @ 4:15pm and 6:15pm. On April 1, 2017, Ss. Robert & William Catholic School held its annual Taste of Nation’s Gala.  This is an evening to embrace and celebrate the diversity in our school, parish and community.  This year’s sold-out event featured culinary delights from eight countries, entertainment, raffles and a host of other activities.

Book lovers and bargain hunters alike are in for a treat when the Friends of the Euclid Public Library host their Book Sale, Friday, April 28, through Sunday, April 30, at the Euclid Public Library.

With more leisure time, improvements in technology and an extensive variety of plants available from abroad, gardening became popular during Victorian times.  At the third annual Victorian Tea fundraiser on April 30, Shore will celebrate both the garden and the tea.

Please join us for our Family Fun Night! April 7th at 6:00pm we will be having a easter egg hunt and crafts for the children. Non-YMCA members only pay $5.00 for their family and need to register any day or time before the event. We welcome all members of the community to join the fun!

The accordion is king at the 35th Super Button Box Bash on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Join the Button Box Band of the Year, the Fairport Jammers, and the Button Box Artists of the Year, Kathy Hlad and Frank and Darryl Valencic, plus ten favorite squeezebox artists for a day-long dance-athon! Euclid's Polka Hall of Fame once again teams with the Slovenian Society Home on Recher Avenue in Euclid, Ohio, to host springtime’s biggest Cleveland-Style polka event with fifty accordions.

The next time you drive past Sims Park, remember it’s getting close to a very special hunting season that doesn’t require bows and arrows or weapons of any kind. It’s the annual Henn Mansion Flea Market on Saturday, April 29, that is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a preview sale for a $5 donation at the door on Friday, April 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

It's hard to imagine school being out, and warm summer days, but it's not that far away.  If you are looking for something for your child to do this summer, why not send them to the Beat the Streets (BTS) Fun Day Summer Camp This is the fifth year for this camp located right here in Euclid. Campers will be dropped off and picked up daily at the Early Learning Center, off of Babbitt Road.  Camp will run for 11 weeks, this summer. You can sign your camper up for as many as you would like there is no weekly commitment! Camp starts on Tuesday May 30, and ends on Friday August 11.

The Euclid Shade Tree Commission

At their annual pops concert at 3 p.m. on April 23, at the Shore Cultural Center, the Euclid Symphony Orchestra will feature music from Hollywood's Golden Age.

The City of Euclid’s Civil Service Commission will be conducting entrance examinations for entry-level Police Officers and Firefighter/Paramedics in April. The City’s safety forces have a long tradition of service excellence, and both departments will be hiring in 2017. We encourage all qualified applicants, especially women and minorities, to apply. Registration is now open for the 4th annual Youth Solutions Congress, where Cuyahoga County youth are invited to share their perspective on and offer solutions to the challenges they see in their community. It will be held Saturday, March 25th at Cleveland State University's Main Classroom building.

Three Spring concerts at Waterloo Arts

Spend the whole night laughing with Kiddie City at our 10th Annual Funds for Fun! This year will be featuring a live comedy show on the Kiddie City stage! Support a great cause while enjoying snacks, beer, wine, and more! You can also try your luck at the chinese auction full of amazing prizes. You can also participate in a 50/50 raffle!

UpStage Players, now in its 23rd year, will produce Fiddler On The Roof, Jr. on March 24 and 25 with a Sunday afternoon matinee on March 26th.  Evening performances are at 7:30, doors open at 7 p.m. and the matinee is at 2:30 with the doors opening at 2 p.m.  Enjoy the performance at the Cleveland Public Library Lakeshore Facility, 17109 Lakeshore.  The stage will be shared by 54 children in cast and crew as well as a welcome back for alumni from the 23 years.

On Saturday, March 11, 2017, PetFix Northeast Ohio is holding a fundraiser from 7 to 9 pm at Two Bucks at Golden Gate Plaza in Mayfield Heights. Attendees can enjoy raffles, games, food, drinks and fun during the NCAA Tournament. All proceeds will help PetFix Northeast Ohio continue its lifesaving work. PetFix is a non-profit organization that provides high quality, affordable spay and neuter surgeries to end pet homelessness and the need for unnecessary euthanasia. As a  fundraiser the Euclid shrine of our Lady of Loures will be serving French toast breakfasts on two upcoming Sundays -  February 5 and March 5 at the shrine compound on Chardon Road. Serving will take place from 8:45 AM to 11:30 AM

The menu includes French toast, bacon or sausage, coffee or tea, and juice. Ticket price is five dollars. The event will also include a mini craft fair.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 4th, 2017 for an event you won’t want to miss! HELP Foundation, Inc. is hosting our first Fabulous Casino Night fundraiser to benefit our programs and services. Join us at Normandy Catering on March 4th from 6pm-10pm for an evening of fun for a great cause. The event will include everyone’s favorite casino games like Black Jack, Roulette, and Texas Hold’em. Tickets for the fundraiser are $50.00 each and will include your first $10 in casino chips, a full bar, and heavy hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening.

A number of local artisans will be selling stocking stuffers and other small gifts at a Pop Up Holiday Shop hosted by Euclid Brewing Company on Saturday, December 17, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Your Christmas season will be extra special when you witness the charming smiles and delightful African tunes and ethnic instrumentation of the African Children’s Choir Wednesday, December 14 at 7:00 pm in the gymnasium of Kiddie City Child Care Community 280 E. 206th St. Euclid.  This free concert is a holiday gift from Kiddie City in celebration of children in Euclid and all over the world.  Overflow parking at Our Lady of the Lake Church on Lake Shore Blvd. and a shuttle bus to Kiddie City will assure your ability to this concert.

Loving Hands Group provides life-enrichment classes and activities for people with disabilities. Loving Hands is partnering with Deia's Dream Cafe to offer interesting educational
programs for our local community. This is part of a collaboration with the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, to help integrate disabled members of our community with their neighbors. The programs will be held at Deia's Dream Cafe on the third Wednesday of each month from 1:30-2:30pm. There will be a different program each month. Adult members of the community are invited to join these programs free of charge.

Euclid Brewing Company will hold a series of short lectures in the brewery’s tap room on Thursdays in October. The Tap Talks will feature guest speakers who will discuss topics in the areas of poetry, policy, history and science. All talks will begin at 7 p.m.

Mary Mavec Opportunity School is inviting friends, neighbors and art enthusiasts to a special Art Show & Auction on Thursday, October 20, 2016. Doors will open at 6:30 PM with program beginning at 7:00. When the autumn leaves start to turn, it’s time to take a turn on the dance floor at the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame Harvest Polka Party, Friday, October 28th , at the Croatian Lodge Party Center, in Eastlake, Ohio. It’s an elegant evening of the finest Cleveland-Style polkas and waltzes with two Hall of Fame legends, Eddie Rodick and his high-powered polka band, and the classic stylings of George Staiduhar and his orchestra, plus up-and-coming Joshua Kay on the accordion.

The writer/director and cast of Je McClain's Entertainment will visit the city of Euclid, Ohio on September 17th at 6:00 p.m. at the Shore Cultural Center to perform their very touching and inspirational stage play "Because She's My Mother" which was formally known as "Mama I am who God Says I Am". The production was performed back in Detroit, Michigan at the Charles H. Wright Museum. Delivering a stellar performance on Mother's Day; this production packed the theatre with two sold-out shows and over a hundred and twenty people to turn away. I truly encourage the residents in the city of Euclid and its surrounding cities to come out and be a part of such a great movement in theatre. Conveying such a relatable message with much conviction, this cast is sure to wow you in one way or another. Whether its through discovery, tears or a laugh or two, this show will definitely impact your life. The story line deals with the affect and destruction of mothers and daughters relationships and the long lasting effect it has on the daughters as women.
