Ohio Volleyball All Star Athlete

Ainslie McLaughlin makes an impressive kill at the All-Ohio volleyball game.

Congratulations to Euclid resident Ainslie McLaughlin who finishes her high school volleyball career by being named All-Ohio by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association.  Ainslie played in the State of Ohio All Star Game on November 17th in Wooster after playing in the District II Senior All Star match in Chardon a day earlier. Ainslie’s senior year accomplishments include having 258 kills, a .448 hitting percentage, and 59 blocks; being named player of the match 11 times, and Offensive Player of the Year by her coach; and being #1 for hitting percentage, #4 for total number of kills, and #5 for blocks in the Northcoast Blue league this season.  Ainslie currently has a GPA of 4.216 and will leave Lake Catholic High School having earned a trip to final four state volleyball 2 times, receiving honors for middle blocker at both the Mentor and Gilmour volleyball tournaments, and even being elected to the homecoming court at her high school.  Ainslie has committed to playing D1 volleyball at Cleveland State University in the fall of 2020 on an athletic scholarship.
