Junior Police Academy and Safety Town Enrollment
Junior Police Academy is open to all middle school students who reside in the City of Euclid. Space is limited to the first 24 applications received. Cost: $10 CASH ONLY, fee includes a t-shirt and PAL membership. Applications and registration are at the Euclid Police Department, 545 E. 222 Street.
The cadets will report to the front steps of EPD on Monday June 10 through Friday, June 14, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 545 E. 222 Street. Cadets will learn about patrol tactics, defensive tactics, accident investigation, SWAT, traffic, dispatch, narcotics, K-9, range and gun safety, and more. Safety Town is open to all Euclid children entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2019. Space is limited to the first 24 applications received. Cost: $10 CASH ONLY. Applications and registration are at the Euclid Police Department, 545 E. 222 Street.
The students report to The Early Learning Center on Monday July 8 through Friday July 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 22800 Fox Avenue. Parents park in the lot off Memorial Park on Babbitt Road and must sign in their children each day promptly at 10 a.m. and return at 12:20 to sign their children out.
Students will learn about school bus safety, crossing the street, stranger danger, animal safety, 9-1-1, gun safety, fire safety, and water safety. Questions can be directed to the EPD Community Policing Unit at 216-289-8449.
