Make a Difference: ‘Keep Euclid Beautiful’ Looks for Volunteers in 2018
In December 2017, Euclid City Council unanimously passed a ceremonial resolution recognizing ‘Keep Euclid Beautiful’ (KEB) as an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
After nearly a year of planning and training, a committee of volunteers is rolling up their sleeves to improve the appearance of the city by installing new gardens and public art, picking up litter, providing recycling education, and more. Led by Linda Beck in the Mayor’s Office, KEB affords the city the opportunity to compete for grants and provides tools for measuring success.
KEB is looking for volunteers just like you!
The first meeting of KEB in the new year will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at 6pm at Euclid City Hall. The agenda will outline goals for 2018 and begin planning for the second annual Euclid v. Collinwood “Big Clean” Great American Cleanup. If you are not interested in planning events, but still want to help create a beautiful Euclid, email Linda at LBeck@cityofeuclid.com to join the mailing list.
Save-the-date for the “Big Clean” citywide cleanup on Saturday, April 21st, 2018. The date is a few weeks earlier than last year and coordinates with the date of Cuyahoga County’s countywide cleanup with the Litterbugz as well as the weekend recognizing Earth Day. Stay tuned for details.
