A Message from Mayor Bill Cervenik

For many of us, we are approaching a special time of the year where family and friends gather together and celebrate the holidays and the good food and fun that go along with them.  As we are enjoying the season, please remember neighbors and other acquaintances that may be less fortunate.  Check in on elderly neighbors that may need to see a friendly face and reassurance that help is near by. Many elderly need extra assistance during the winter in taking their trash can to the curb or back to the house. Some may need snow shoveled off their steps or drive or their newspaper brought to their door.

Euclid Senior Programs offers a variety of services to residents 60 years of age and over including transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping and to their lunch program.  Home-delivered meals are also available to shut-ins.  Euclid Senior Programs also has many other programs and activities such as exercise and educational classes, craft clubs, book discussions, support groups and more. Call Euclid Senior Programs at (216) 289-2985 for details on their offerings.

This year the Euclid YMCA, located at 631 Babbitt Road will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. The toys will distributed as part of the Toys for Tots campaign.  There are a variety of worthwhile organizations that are in need of volunteers. Please consider helping out now and/or throughout the upcoming year
