YMCA encourages involvement

Princess Mariya at the Y for Halloween!

Hello Euclid Observer readers! My name is Gary Washington and I am the Youth Sports coordinator at the Euclid Family YMCA, and I will be writing about the Y’s activities. To give you a little of my background, I have a journalism/communications degree from Central State University. I started as a volunteer for the Y back in 1994. The Y’s mission is definitely a part of me and I am a firm believer that everyone has a part to play in mentoring, as well as giving back to the community! Through branch promotions as well as community outreach, we as the Euclid Y staff encourage everyone to support the YMCA!

This is an excellent opportunity join the Y and save!

Youth sports news

The YMCA is currently collaborating with selected Euclid schools on a youth basketball league. For a low cost of $25, children will compete in a six to eight week game schedule (playoffs included), which is scheduled to get under way after Thanksgiving. Registration deadline is near so contact Euclid Y for more details. The Y also offers martial arts, hip hop dance and ballet as a part of our youth sports programs. Here is your chance to get kids involved with the Y today.
