Memorial Park Community Garden Open House

September is the month our thoughts turn to heading back to school, Labor Day celebrations, and plentiful harvests.  This year, the proud gardeners of Euclid’s Memorial Park Community Garden are welcoming residents to visit this special city treasure.  Lots of sweat and loving care has gone into making this community effort happen and the group is excited to share this with the city of Euclid.

The Memorial Park Community Garden is located on the former sand volleyball courts boasting great sunlight, water access, and a 12-foot-high fence.  The garden has increased membership over the years thanks to word of mouth and an Engage Euclid Grant.  It is currently full with individually installed and maintained raised garden beds. The garden has never looked healthier.

On Thursday, September 12 from 6 pm – 8 pm, Euclid’s Memorial Park Community Garden is opening its gate to all Euclid residents.  The gardeners wish for you to see for yourselves what seedfolk camaraderie is all about.  It’s also a great opportunity to ask a gardener for ideas about how to best grow your own plants, pick up some seeds, and have a snack.  Hope to see you soon.   For more information or questions, contact Memorial Park Community Garden via email at MemorialParkCommunityGarden@yahoo.com.
