Our Annual Backpack Blessing Celebrates Back to School

OLL Parishioners Join Fr. Joe in the Annual Backpack Blessing. This year's Backpack Blessing will be on Sunday, August 25th at 10am Mass.

The carefree days of summer are winding down and that means one thing at Our Lady of the Lake Parish- it’s time for our Backpack Blessing. All are welcome to attend the  10 AM Mass on Sunday, August 25th and students are reminded to bring their backpacks for the blessing.

“It is a nice way for the parish to get behind the students of Our Lady of the Lake School to wish them well” said a parishioner. “And it is usually well-attended”  

As parishioners join Fr. Joe in extending their hands toward the students for a blessing, one thing is quite clear, Our Lady of the Lake students are being sent off with a communal blessing and many, many good wishes.
