Six inducted to Euclid High Schools Distinguished hall of Fame

The Euclid Public Schools Alumni Association and the Euclid City School District honored six Euclid High School graduates by inducting them into the Distinguished Achievement Hall of Fame on April 4th at the Henn Mansion. Alumni of Euclid, Central and Shore high Schools who have distinguished themselves in their careers are eligible for nomination to the Distinguished Hall of Fame, as well as non-alumni who have made significant contributions to the students of the Euclid Schools.

The 2019 Distinguished Achievement Hall of Fame inductees:
Tom Baker ’54 – U.S. Navy Reserve Officer, Attorney, Community Service.
George Kalan ’62 - Aerospace Engineer, Management Consultant, Venture Capitalist.
Natasha Spencer ’89 - Digital Artist in Film, Video and New Media, Medical Research Advocacy (Krabbe Leukodystrophy)
Dr. John Parsons ’90 - Sports Medicine, Educator, Researcher and Policy Maker.
Marques P.D. Richeson ’01 - Attorney, Non-Profit Organizations Board Trustee, Political Campaign Advisor
Jacqueline Greene ’03 – Attorney, Social Justice Activist, Super Lawyers Ohio Rising Stars (2019)

In addition, Donna Sudar was honored as the first recipient of the Joseph P. Mayer Community Engagement Award. Joseph “Joe” Mayer was a dedicated Euclid resident and champion of the city and the schools who devoted his life to serving the city and the schools, its students, and its alumni. The award was created after his death in 2018 to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Euclid Schools and community. Donna was recognized for her 30 years of steadfast volunteerism for the Euclid City School District, serving in myriad leadership positions. She was first elected to the Euclid Board of Education in 2006 and currently serves as President.
