Serving children 6-weeks old through pre-kindergarten

To encourage curiosity, SRW’s Guardian Angels  Early Learning  Center provides a nurturing environment focusing on faith, knowledge, skills, and behaviors that are the foundations for future academic success.

SRW’s Guardian Angel Early Learning Center was founded to provide Catholic childcare for families for whom a faith-based environment is a priority.  It is rooted in Matthew’s Gospel which combines the truth of the protection provided by Guardian Angels with the image of Jesus as the Good Shepherd.

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly father.  What is your opinion?  If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray?  And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray.  In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly father that one of these little ones be lost.”

Faith Formation:  To assist the involvement of children and adults in a common religious experience in which the religious values of childhood, primarily those values of contemplation and enjoyment of God, are predominant, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be the method of instruction used for faith formation.

Creative Curriculum:  To deliver lessons that address the general areas of development—social-emotional, physical, language, and cognitive—The Creative Curriculum will be used.  This research-based curriculum will guide the teachers in providing age-appropriate routines and experiences.

Admission:  Priority will be given to families who have children enrolled in either the Early Learning Center or in the elementary school.

Age Requirements/Classrooms:

Baby Angels (St. Gabriel):  6 weeks—23 months             

Toddler Angels (St. Raphael): 2 years—3 years        

*Wee Angels (St. Michael): 3 years (must be 3 years old by 8/1)                                                

*Little Angels: 4 years (must be 4 years old by 8/1)

*Junior Warriors: 4 year—5 years (must be 4 years old by 8/1)

*The academic portion of their school day will be between the hours of 8 AM—12 Noon.                                                                 

  **The academic portion of their school day matches that of the day school:  7:45 AM—2:50 PM.
