From Cars to Meals

Danny Conway of Action CARSTAR Auto Body helps deliver donations for Harvest for Hunger campaign.

From April 1 to May 15th Action CARSTAR Auto Body, 21200 St. Clair Avenue in Euclid participated in the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s “Harvest for Hunger” campaign.  Thanks to the generosity of Action’s employees and customers, over 100 lbs. of non-perishable goods were collected at the shop as well as over $1,400 collected from the virtual website setup online through the Food Bank.

To reach that goal the shop had to have a challenge…..”let’s see how many cars we can repair in 45 days!”. Anthony Perrino, Owner of Action CARSTAR, agreed to donate $5 for every car repaired during the campaign. 143 cars later the campaign had it’s base and we were on our way. Besides personal donations area business partners pitched in. Many thanks to Perrino Builders and Remodeling-Chesterland, the Lynard Zingale Allstate Agency, Furlong Insurance, Anthony Insurance and Tim Budic Insurance of Euclid and Sean Cooper Allstate-Mayfield Heights for their support.

With $1,400 the Cleveland Food Bank can supply 5,600 meals to Northeast Ohio residents in need!!
