EPL Offering Automatic Renewals

EPL is now offering automatic renewals of physical materials including books, CDs, and DVDs.

This spring, EPL, and the other CLEVNET libraries began automatic renewals of books, CDs, DVDs, and other physical materials without holds for patrons. The new service hopes to potentially reduce overdue fines and allow patrons to check out items longer easily. The system will attempt to renew materials automatically one day before an item is due – you will no longer need to call the library to renew.

Please note materials cannot be renewed if:

•Someone else has placed a hold on the item.

• The item has reached its renewal limit (renewal limits vary by library system).

• Your account is blocked due to excessive fines or fees.

If an item cannot be renewed, you will receive a courtesy due soon notice (via PHONE, EMAIL, or SMS Text) the evening before your materials are due.
