Parents, Children & Euclid Public Library Working Together

With your support, we have transformed the afterschool environment at the Euclid Public Library. In just a few short months, program attendance has increased by 57%, book checkouts for children and teens increased by approximately 17%, and disruptive behavior has declined. As we prepare for the start of the 2017-2018 school year, we want to remind you of our Adult Chaperone Required Guidelines.

Starting Monday, August 14, 2017, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone age 21 or older between the hours of 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays.

  • Parents, guardians or chaperones age 21 and older are responsible for the behavior of the children in their company. All patrons must abide by the Patron Code of Conduct.
  • The Library may ask for proof of age. Chaperones without identification may be asked to leave the library.
  • Children registered for a program may enter the building fifteen (15) minutes before the program starts.

Euclid Public Library is a proud member of the National Safe Place Network and will always be a safe place for students in need. We ask that children or parents that need a safe space speak with a staff member at any time for help.

We also invite you to join us on Monday, August 21 at 2:30 PM. for our Back-to-School Event to learn more about our many after school programs for children and teens.  Students may also visit euclidlibrary.org/calendar/events to view and register for upcoming programs. Once the program is at capacity, the library will no longer take reservations. We appreciate your support as we strive to achieve our strategic goal of providing a welcoming space for all. Have questions? Please send an email to thoughts@euclidlibrary.org or join us the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM for the monthly Board meeting.

We wish you a great school year!
