Performing Arts Class at Shore Promises FUN!

Young people strut their stuff at past summer workshops.

Curtain and lights up!  LIVE at the Shore Cultural Centre—your children!!  Shore is offering two one-week classes on the exciting world of the Performing Arts.  They will take place at Shore July 10-14 and July 17-21, from 9:00am-12:00noon.  Students will learn about and participate in activities relating to Acting/Drama, Communicating with Music, Story Telling and Performing in front an audience.   Students can try out playing the piano and guitar, writing a short story and performing a variety of stage movements and techniques.  Each week will conclude with a short performance by the students for family and friends.

Teaching the class will be Darryl Lewis, a long-time music and acting instructor at Shore who owns the Euclid School of Music.  He has taught at Kent State’s theatre department and this fall becomes the theatre director at Andrews Osborne Academy in Willoughby.

“I love sharing my passion and love for the performing arts with young people,” stated Mr. Lewis.  “It’s an area that any young person can have fun with!  And we will have fun!”

Registration fee for the class is $75 per week or $125 for both weeks, representing a savings of $25.  You can register on line at www.shoreculturalcentre.com or at the Shore office in Room 143 at 291 East 222nd Street near downtown Euclid.  Call 216-289-8578 for further information.
