Message from the Mayor

School is out and summer is here!  I would like to congratulate all the graduates and send them best wishes on their future plans.  The City of Euclid wants to applaud the outstanding achievements of students at Euclid High School, Villa Angela St. Joseph High School and other schools who have excelled academically, athletically, and are poised for success in college, the work place, or the military.  We are proud of you and your accomplishments and know you will continue to make Euclid proud!

The City of Euclid is also making plans for our future.  This month, we will begin the process of updating our City Master Plan.  We received a grant from the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission to create a plan and vision for our future.  A Master Plan is a long term plan for the future growth and development of a community.   The Master Plan will cover areas such as housing, transportation, economic development, parks, public lands and infrastructure, and environment.  One of the first steps will be a community survey, so if you receive a written survey, please complete it and share your ideas for our future!

I look forward to seeing you over the summer throughout the community and at our special events.  On Saturday June 25th, the City of Euclid along with Shore Cultural Centre and the Euclid Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the Euclid Wind Festival.  The event will take place at Sims Park from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  There will be music, food, wind related activities, kids activities, a senior area, and an opportunity to enjoy the winds of Lake Erie and fellowship of our neighbors.  This promises to be a great event, I hope you will join us!

Also mark your calendar for each Thursday in July.  Euclid will again be hosting Concerts in the Park at Sims Park on Thursday July 7, July 14, July 21, and July 28 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Bring your lawn chair and enjoy music, food trucks, our beautiful Lakefront Park and your neighbors.

I look forward to seeing you at the summer events!  As always, please let me know if you have questions or ideas.
