Historical Marker To Celebrate Supreme Court Win 90 Years Ago

On Thursday, June 9, in remembrance of the village of Euclid's landmark 1926 victory against Ambler Realty Company in the supreme court of the United States, a special celebration will be held from 4 PM to 6 PM at 20001 Euclid Ave. during which an Ohio historical marker will be dedicated.

The case, in which Aambler Realty sued the village in protest of its zoning laws, established the legal basis for zoning legislation throughout the United States. "That decision still stands today," notes the Euclid historical societie's recent newsletter, "and it is taught in every real estate law class in the country."
