Ss. Robert & William Catholic Parish Kicks Off Its Fifth Anniversary

Mayor Cervenik and Kirsten-Holzheimer-Gail present proclamation to Fr. John

On Saturday, January 10, 2015, over 225 parishioners gathered for Mass (which was celebrated by Bishop Richard Lennon) and dinner, to celebrate the parish’s fifth anniversary.

“At the opening Mass of the parish on January 3, 2010, I invited everyone to find a home under our star,” proclaimed Betters.  “Our parish and school have grown substantially and we have become a vibrant house of worship,” he states.

Adding to the merriment was a proclamation given by Mayor Bill Cervenik.  It acknowledged and applauded Fr. Betters for his commitment to his parish, his community and for his recent award from Cleveland Magazine.

Special events have been planned throughout 2015 in honor of this anniversary.  A parish pictorial is being produced to capture the parish’s history and a Star Project has been initiated to reflect parishioners’ thoughts on why they love the parish.
