Fr. John Betters Named A "Hero Behind the Scene," in Cleveland Magazine

In its January 2015 issue, The Cleveland Magazine selected and recognized members of the community who “work diligently to create a kind and productive workplace and community" in its “Heroes Behind the Scenes,” feature.  Rev. John D. Betters, Pastor of Ss. Robert & William Catholic Parish was selected as one of its Top Ten Heroes out of a field of over fifty nominees.

“I feel so honored to receive this award,” states Betters.  He continues, “As we begin to celebrate our fifth anniversary as a merged parish, I contemplate how far we have come together.  I share this achievement with my parishioners and those in the community who have supported our mission.”

Sponsored by the Values-in-Action Foundation, members sought to have Northeast Ohio make history by being the first community in the U.S. to nominate and recognize our “Heroes Behind the Scenes”. 

Betters was recognized for his outreach efforts to the community, his commitment to Catholic education, being compassionate and a visionary, and for the incredible success he has experienced in the merging of two parishes.
