Starting Off Strong

We started the school year in style at Our Lady of the Lake with our annual backpack blessing on August 24. It was standing room only in church as parishioners and friends came together to celebrate our school kids and wish them a great year.  After Mass, families gathered in the church hall for a fun ice cream social, with welcome packets for all the new school families and plenty of good spirit. More than 350 bowls of ice cream later, we could see that we’ve got a great group starting at school this year!  It’s so nice to see all the kids back again, and to have a chance to celebrate with our neighbors.
