From The Beatles to a Blue Tango, The Euclid Symphony Orchestra Covers It All

The Euclid Symphony Orchestra is presenting their annual Pops Concert on Sunday, May 4, 2014, 3 p.m., at Shore Cultural Centre’s auditorium, and, oh what a concert it is!  If you have not yet experienced the music played by these fabulous local musicians, this is just the concert for you.

In this program, the Orchestra swaps out their classical pieces for much more contemporary works.  Included in this upbeat performance are the following pieces:  Variations on a Shaker Melody by Aaron Copland, The Entertainer by Scott Joplin, Festique by M.L. Daniels, a Beatles Medley by Manny Mendelson (winner of our music choice contest)- - music is by John Lennon & Paul McCartney, Colonel Bogey by Kenneth J. Alford, Blue Tango by Leroy Anderson, Promenade by Leroy Anderson, The Donkey Serenade by Rudolf Friml, Highlights from West Side story by Leonard Bernstein

Concert Tickets are $8 pre-sale and $10 at the door (cash only); children under 12 are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Founded in 1961, the Euclid Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit organization which features local volunteer musicians. Annually, the Orchestra performs two classical, a holiday, a youth, and a pops concert.
