Kiddie City shines

Euclid area businesses and citizens are great! Thank you for your support of Kiddie City’s recent fundraiser. As a result of your generosity and that of our attendees, we raised approximately $6,000 that will enable our students to take fieldtrips and our staff to host special guests at our 501 (c)3 center.  The children’s educational experiences will be enhanced in many ways.

Kiddie City was recently awarded a Muhammad Ali Peace Garden grant. Our garden will take on added meaning as we cooperatively plant, nurture, and grow diverse foods to be enjoyed in our classrooms. Raised beds, a small composter, and new children’s gardening equipment was recently received as a part of this $500 grant from Yum! Foods and The Kids' Gardening Association.

Project Access – a capacity building program of The Cleveland Foundation – recently tapped Kiddie City for a third and final year of participation. It is a great honor to be selected as one of nine organizations in Cuyahoga County. Kiddie City’s Executive Drector, Jennifer Boger, and board members, Sherrie Zagorc, Christine Spikes, and Meg McGarry attend monthly sessions to learn new skills to strengthen our tax exempt organization.  Marketing, legal issues, financial responsibilities are examples of topics to be covered. Twenty seven hours of coaching from a nonprofit organizational expert – Patty Sadallah – is also included.
