So you want to write for the Euclid Observer?

Hi, welcome to the Euclid Observer website, the website side of the paper written by you!  After the printed paper comes out, a full version of the paper is printed online.  

If you have come to this site to start writing for the Euclid Observer, here's what you need to do.  Click on Member Center, it's right in front of you, on the Menu bar on the upper left side of this screen, and sign up or sign in (it only takes 30 seconds and we don't share personal information.)

A box will appear to your left in the Menu Bar that says Writer.  Click on the "Submit New Story" link under that heading.

A template will appear in which you can type the title, and enter your story into the Article text box. You can type directly into the box, or copy/paste a story from your own word processing program on your computer.  (You can also copy from emails.)

If you want to attach photos, click the box that says Attach Photos, and fill a number in the box that appears asking for how many photos you have.  Make sure the box at the bottom that says "Send Straight to Editors" is unchecked, then click "Save" at the bottom and you will go to a window that allows you to browse through your photos, and attach them the way you would attach photos to an email.   There is a place there for you to write a caption for each photo.  When you are done, you will be sent back to the orginal Writers window.

If you are all done writing your story, check the box that says "Send Straight to Editors", if you are still working on it, or might want to change it or add to it later, keep that box unchecked and click the box that says "Save."  This story will come up next time you sign on so you can continue working on it.

When you are all done working on it, check the "Send Straight to Editors" box.  At that point, you will not be able to work on it anymore and it will be edited for printing in the paper.  Click Save and you are done.
