Imagine Bella Families came to Party in the Park at Neff Park on Friday, June 15th. Teachers came to pass out popsicles, juice, and water. Teachers and students had fun with bubbles, chalk, and other outdoor games. Imagine Families should stay posted to Dojo for future events throughout the summer. Hope to see you there next time!

Imagine Bella is one of only three schools in Ohio to be recognized this year as a National School of Character. Shout out to the amazing students, parents, and teachers that helped Imagine Bella to earn this distinction. The school also won a Promising Practice for their House System. House Party

Self-Ulwazi won the house party this school and celebrated in all purple! There was purple pop, frosting, plates, cups, and napkins. Pizza and dancing outside to celebrate the end of the year.

National School of Character

During the 2017-2018 school year, Imagine Bella applied to be recognized as a National School of Character. The process included an extensive application and a virtual interview session with parents, board members, and teachers about the Character initiatives at the school. In the same year, Imagine Bella became a state and National School of Character.

Ohio School of Character

Imagine Bella was visited by Miss Clayland, Madeline Carter, and the President and CEO of the Cleveland Better Business Bureau, Sue McConnell. Miss Clayland was part of the review process and the BBB awarded the school a check for the School of Character application fee. Imagine Bella was honored to be celebrated by the community as an Ohio School of Character! Imagine Bella is now being reviewed for consideration as a National School of Character.

Early Kindergarten and Enrollment for Next Year!

Imagine Bella Academy of Excellence is now accepting applications for enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year! Enrollment packets and information available in the main office from 8-4:30. Kindergarten students who turn 5 by September 30th can follow the regular enrollment process using the application. Early Kindergarten Testing dates will be scheduled this summer for students with late birthdays. Students must pass test requirements and submit a parent referral. Students must turn 5 by December 31st, 2018. Please contact the school with any questions and to register for a test date. 216-481-1500.

Character Essay Contest

Each year, Imagine Bella students in grades 3-6 participate in the National Imagine Character Essay contest. Students craft essays in response to provided maxims with a focus on character. The essays are edited by peers and final drafts are typed to send for the national contest. Our school level winners were honored during a special awards assembly where students were able to invite family and one fellow student. We are so proud of our students for their excellence in writing and positive character!

Puppet Show

Black History Month Live Wax Museum

Imagine Bella held a Black History Month Live Wax Museum on Thursday, February 15th. The school-wide event honored figures from the past and the present. Each grade level had a different decade or time period as their focus. Students worked in their classroom researching their persons life and legacy. Research helped the students in preparing speeches, posters, and selecting the best attire for the Live Wax Museum. There was amazing support from families for this special event. Thank you to all of our families who came and showed support and/or helped their child prepare for the Black History Month Wax Museum! Your presence means a lot to us and our students. We hope you had a blast and can’t wait until next year!

Teacher of the Year

Imagine Bella is excited to announce Ms. Gina Salone as the 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year! Ms. Salone leads a 4th grade class and makes her students feel right at home in her cozy classroom. There are plenty of places to stop and read as Ms. Salone shares her love of reading with her class and schoolwide as leader of the Advanced Reading Challenge (ARC). Families Helping Families

Each year before winter break, Imagine Bella's Families Helping Families giving tree displays ornaments of items needed by Imagine Bella students. Families and staff members anonymously donate uniforms, coats, boots, and toys to help the students in our Imagine Bella community. Each item is wrapped up for families to take home on the last school day and open during the holiday season.

Zoo Field Trip Fun

The cold weather may be here in Cleveland, but that doesn't stop our fun! Imagine Bella students in many grade levels had field trips to the Cleveland Zoo in Decemeber. Thankful Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving fun was seen throughout the school. First grade had a feast, we stuffed the "turkey", and many other projects are featured in the photos. Imagine Bella Annual Costume Parade

On October 31st, Imagine Bella held it's annual costume parade. It was made possible through family donations of candy and helpers that passed out candy at different stations in the school building. Since it was chilly, the parade stayed indoors as students walked the hallways to pick up treats as the music was blasting through the hallways. Metroparks Environmental Learning Center Field Trip

First grade students traveled to Metroparks Environmental Learning Center for a field trip in October. Students learned about motion and made rockets, moved on scooters, and more.
