LCA Cancels Two Summer Events

The Lakeland Civic Association may still hold its Summer Picnic if conditions allow. However, conditions prevent the group from holding two earlier events. LCA President Kevin Jones regrets canceling the group's annual Neighborhood Yard Sales and Fourth of July Bicycle Parade. Both have been long-observed gatherings on the Association's Summer calendar.

"The Lakeland Civic Association's active membership is a diverse mix of young families and retired folks," Jones says. "We are careful to promote physical distancing and mask-wearing on our streets and in our lives. We'll have twice the spirit next Summer."

LCA's on-going annual membership drive is returning more addresses for the group's growing online network. The group, the neighborhood, and the City of Euclid all benefit from having the many communication channels, including the Euclid Observer, available to neighborhoods in Northeast Ohio.

Residents in the Lakeland Civic Association's area recently will have received the group's special Summer newsletter in which they can find helpful contact information. LCA neighbors should watch for a possible special flyer before the Summer Picnic should conditions allow holding that event.
