VASJ alums celebrate at All-Alumni Reunion

Lucy Westfall ’54 and Suzanne Vadnal ’76 are all smiles at the All-Alumni Reunion.

About 170 alums from Villa Angela Academy, St. Joseph High School and Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School gathered in the school gym Sept. 13 for the All-Alumni Reunion. Open to all graduates, the event included a special happy anniversary to those classes ending in '4 and '9.

The event featured food, refreshments, music, and the chance for alums to reminisce and share good times with their classmates.

According to Cheryl Stashinko ’03, associate director of alumni relations, the event is a way to recognize graduates from all classes.

“The All-Alumni Reunion takes the pressure off classes trying to plan a private reunion,” Stashinko says. "We encourage classes to let us do the work and enjoy the evening reminiscing with old friends and making a few new ones along the way.”

With the event being hosted at the school, alums are able to explore the building and discover updates and changes that have taken place since they graduated.

“Alumni have a chance to walk the building on their own or with one of our wonderful student ambassadors on a guided tour,” Stashinko says. “It’s always nice to see a current student and an alum connect. The years between them do not matter — what's important is the fact that we are all a Viking family!”

If your class is planning a reunion, please contact Cheryl Stashinko at cstashinko@vasj.com or 216-481-8414 ext. 254 to inform the school of your event.
