Euclid Symphony Orchestra Announces 58th Season
The orchestra will kick off the season on Sunday, October 27 with percussionist Cameron Leach playing Emmanuel Séjourné’s Concerto for Marimba and Strings. The orchestra will also feature selections to pay tribute to long-time friend and donor of the ESO Tom Baker, who passed away unexpectedly in April.
On Sunday, December 8, the orchestra will present a family-friendly holiday concert suitable for all ages. Members from Lakeshore Dance and Gymnastics will perform selections from The Nutcracker, Frozen, and more.
Sunday, March 1will feature the winner of the ESO’s inaugural Tom Baker Young Artists Competition. The competition is open to vocal and instrumental students age 18 or younger and the winner will receive $500 in addition to the performance opportunity.
The season concludes on Sunday, May 3 with a concert highlighting music from America’s greatest film scores including Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump, Batman and more. Audience members are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character from the big screen!
All performances are at 3:00 PM at Shore Cultural Centre, with the exception of the October 27 concert, which will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Charles F. Brush High School in Lyndhurst.
