Euclid Symphony Young Artist Competition

Euclid Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Matthew Salvaggio announce the first annual Tom Baker Young Artists Competition.

The competition is open to any advanced musician (instrumental or vocal) age 18 or younger who is capable of performing appropriate concerto-level (or equivalent) virtuosic works. The competition winner will receive a $500 cash prize and a performance with the Euclid Symphony Orchestra.

The date of the competition will be Wednesday, October 30, 2019, from 6:00-9:00 PM at Shore Cultural Centre in Euclid.

The competition is named in honor of Tom Baker, a longtime friend, donor, and member of the Euclid Symphony Orchestra. He passed away in 2019.

Entering its 59th season, the Euclid Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra whose goal is to cultivate community through music, foster appreciation of orchestral music, educate children about the orchestral genre, and provide an outlet for musicians to perform and develop musicianship. The ESO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
