Helping Lives Bloom Spring Gala Flourishing Success

HELP Foundation, Inc. hosted its 1st Inaugural Helping Lives Bloom Spring Gala on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s elegant Stillwater Place.  The event was presented by Arcadia Glasshouse and will benefit the construction of a self-sustaining greenhouse for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.  This greenhouse will provide access to an adaptive environment with year-round growing capabilities.  Producing “farm-to-table organic fruits and vegetables for group homes, supported living locations and HELP Cornucopia Vocational Training Center.

Over 240 attendees made their way through the whimsical orchid filled venue and walked the grand red carpet. Everyone enjoyed delicious cuisine, perused over 80 unique silent auction packages and bid on exotic vacations.  The highlight of the evening came when 13 year old Kelly Frygier shared her story and lead our mission moment.  She touched the crowd’s hearts and helped us raise over $15,000 in five minutes!

“I am proud and thrilled about the success of our Helping Lives Bloom Gala!  The support from the committee, our board of trustees, our generous sponsors and all who attended made this fabulous event successful.  HELP Foundation is truly fortunate to have so many wonderful individuals supporting our mission and our dream of building our future greenhouse” said Tami Honkala, President and CEO of HELP Foundation.

Our wonderful Presenting Sponsor, Arcadia Glasshouse, generously created a miniature replica of the greenhouse we plan to build.  We are excited that guests had the opportunity to see our vision and we look forward to sharing updates with everyone as we begin to move forward with this project.

"We are proud to be the Presenting Sponsor for this gala event because we have seen the great work that HELP Foundation is doing in our community. Growing organic vegetables all year round in a self-staining greenhouse is therapeutic, productive and rewarding for everyone involved. We share the vision for Helping Lives Bloom." explains Jeff Kenyon, President of Arcadia GlassHouse.
