Euclid High School NJROTC is a phenomenal Citizenship Development program designed to develop young men and women in the areas of Leadership, Citizenship, Patriotism, Teamwork, Military Drill, Marksmanship, Physical Fitness, Discipline, Uniform wear, Health and Hygiene, Nutrition, First Aid, Financial Fitness and the role of the United States Navy. This course molds cadets into smart, strong, confident leaders who eventually embark upon a lifetime of noble citizenship by living the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. It also instills valuable leadership tools that turn cadets/students into leaders will enable them to prepare for Life after High School.

Lieutenant Commander Dennis Morek and Sergeant Major John Rethage teach and instruct the Air Rifle Marksmanship training where Cadets learn the rules that apply to not only air rifles, but all firearms. After completing the air rifle safety training, scoring 100% on the air rifle safety exam, and signing the cadet pledge, all cadets actually fire the Air Rifles in class for a week, where they apply the safety rules and fire many bulls-eyes!  They learn the importance of their 2nd Amendment rights, “The right to keep and bear arms” and firearm safety especially key word MAT; Muzzle upward or down range at all times, Action open unless you are firing and Trigger finger is off the trigger unless you intend to fire. NJROTC Air Rifle Marksmanship training builds self-discipline, self-confidence and self-reliance!
