EPL Honors Volunteers at Annual Luncheon

On Friday, May 18, 2018, Euclid Public Library Outreach Department Supervisor Jennifer Lottes and Associate Maureen Wilson hosted the library's annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. Volunteers from several Euclid groups including the Euclid Public Library Board of Trustees, 'Friends of the Library,' Euclid Public Library Foundation and Euclid Hill Villa attended. The honored guests were recognized for their ongoing support of the library through fundraising and community outreach efforts.

In addition to hosting the bi-annual Friends Book Sales and fundraisers (Euclid Public Library Foundation), the honored guests, such as Euclid Hill Villa, were recognized for their service. Since 1978, EPL has housed a collection of library books at Euclid Hill Villa senior apartment building. The library is staffed exclusively by volunteers from the apartment building and is open and available to Euclid Hill Villa residents two days a week. EPL currently supplies 70 books and 80 DVDs to the site each month. Volunteers receive these items, staff the library, check materials in and out to residents, and maintain records and statistics. This site also houses donations from residents, resulting in a robust collection of favorite books and movies.

Thank you to the library's Trustees, 'Friends of the Library,' Foundation, and Outreach volunteers! We appreciate all the time and energy you dedicate to supporting the library.
