March Programs at Euclid Public LIbrary

Pop-Up VR Café: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Friday, March 6

2:00 PM / Fireplace

In honor of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony being in Cleveland this year, we'll slip on virtual reality headsets and go on stage with Rock Hall inductee Elton John. It's a musical look back at some of John's colorful performances. The psychedelic animation blended with his famous hits is unlike anything you'll ever see in virtual reality. This video was created by Elton John to announce his retirement from touring.

Virtual Author Visit: Eric Klinenberg

Monday, March 9

6:30 PM / Shore Room

Join us this evening to watch author Eric Klinenberg discuss his book "Palaces for the People," and how public spaces are integral to civic life. This event is live-streamed from Playhouse Square. For a complete list of One Community Reads events, visit onecommunityreads.org.

Hitchcock Films

Thursday, March 12

7:00 PM / Shore Room

Dr. Joel Keller will talk about and show clips from some of the most seminal Alfred Hitchcock movies. We'll learn about Alfred Hitchcock's half-century career from his first movie in the 1920s, which was released as both a silent movie and a talkie through films like Rear Window, Psycho, and North By Northwest.

#GirlPower

Saturday, March 28

2:00 - 4:00 PM / Lake Room, Shore Room

Join us for a free event to learn how to empower and educate girls on fundamental skills focused on mental, social, and physical well-being. This workshop is for caregivers and their daughters to strengthen bonds and nurture their sense of empowerment and confidence through a combination of lecture, learning, play, and movement. This program is open to all levels, and no exercise experience is needed. For girls ages 8-14. Registration required.

Please note: This workshop is a judgment-free zone. You are welcome to show up to every workshop "as you are" and know that you will be held in a safe space by your fellow participants.
