10 Years Together

It was 10 years ago on the Feast of the Epiphany that Ss. Robert & William Catholic Parish was founded.  At that opening Mass, the late Bishop Pevec presided and blessed us as we began the awesome adventure and journey of creating a new parish community on the solid foundation of the former St. William and St. Robert parishes.  I was only 35 years old and the youngest pastor in the Diocese.  I had NO idea how awesome the next 10 years would be and all the awesome people that would come into my life as I am so privileged to be the pastor of such a great parish community.  I challenged us to help all find a home under our star as they sought Christ.

Today we are a strong, vibrant and active parish community.  Many parishes look to us as a model and seek to learn from us.  We have ministries and activities that are able to serve people from womb to tomb.  Our mission is to be a community founded in a spirit of unity to serve our God through loving HIM and one another, always!   I think we do this very well.

I am excited for the future.  We have lots of things to continue.  I would like to focus on improving our celebration of Mass and the Sacraments by growing in reverence of the role of Sacred Silence in our worship.  I look forward to the continued growth of our Early Learning Center, School and Youth Ministry.  I am excited to continue and grow our service and outreach.  I am excited to continue our awesome evangelization efforts and bring more people to Lord. I am excited to pay down our long term debt and begin to build our savings and endowments.  I am excited to turn ourselves over to the Lord and allow Him to lead us where He wants us to go.  I invite you on another 10-year journey with me as we continue to Worship and Serve our Good and Loving God!

We will dedicate our new St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Center on January 5th after the 11:00 am Mass.  I am so excited that this is complete.  I will have a full financial report and plan for the second half of the campaign in which we focus on paying down the long term debt to you within the month or so.  I am still praying and asking the Lord to help us know when it is the right time to do Phase Two.  He will lead us!

Here’s to our next 10 years!
