Message from the Mayor

Happy Holidays to you and your families!  I would like to thank the voters of Euclid for their continued trust in me to serve as your Mayor.  I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the community that I love.  I am proud of the progress we have made this year and look forward to continuing the work of building a strong and vibrant Euclid!

We have many things to be proud of this past year – Amazon opened bringing new jobs and investment to the former Euclid Mall site, two new buildings are being built at Bluestone Business Park, we saw record residential and commercial building permits and improved housing values, the Lakefront Trail is taking shape, we welcomed new residents and new businesses to Euclid, and so much more.  As we plan for 2020, I look forward to continuing to work on making our community a safe, welcoming and vibrant community for all!  I ask for your involvement and your continued partnership as we will definitely accomplish more when we work together!

I hope to see you at Shore Cultural Centre for the Holiday Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 6th from 6:00 to 9:00pm and on Sunday December 8th at 3:00 for the Euclid Symphony Orchestra’s holiday concert.   I look forward to the many holiday decorations throughout our neighborhoods, holiday gatherings and the opportunity to visit with friends, family and neighbors over the holidays.

As you prepare for the holiday, please remember your local stores, restaurants and entertainment establishments.   By keeping your dollars local, you are helping to improve our local economy while supporting small, resident owned and operated businesses.  Please eat local and shop local whenever you can!

During this season of giving, if you are able to make a charitable contribution please give locally.  Our local organizations and community groups truly make a difference everyday right here in our community and they depend on the generosity of time and resources from all of us.  Thank you to all who give so much!

On behalf of the City of Euclid, I wish you and your family many blessings and much joy this holiday season!  Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our community.  Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah!  Happy Kwanzaa!  Good wishes for a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
