LCA Holds its Holiday Events

Lakeland Civic Association will hold is annual holiday celebrations beginning Thursday December 12. LCA will host a party at the Early Learning Village on Elinore Avenue. Members will provide ample and delicious refreshments between 7:00 & 9:00 PM. Those residents with even-numbered addresses are encouraged to bring savory items and those with odd addresses should bring sweets. Partiers who have attended in the past know what a fabulous array of food awaits them.

On Sunday December 15, between 2:00 & 4:00PM Santa and his elves will walk through the neighbodhood giving away age-appropriate gifts and candy canes to every child who joins him. 

Also starting on Saturday judges begin a week of touring the neighborhood to select the best holiday displays. LCA will award four prizes of $20 each will be awarded. Judges will place signs designating the winners on those properties. If residents hope to join the contest, they should be sure their properties are fully lighted and at their best during the evenings of that week, ending Friday when the judging will be done.
