Adapted Storytime at EPL

Join us on Saturday, November 16 and December 21 for Adapted Storytime at EPL

Join us on the third Saturday of each month at 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM for a special Adapted Storytime at Euclid Public Library.

Adapted storytime is designed for children who may not be successful in a typical storytime setting, usually atypically developing children. Staff read stories quieter than usual and play or sing music at a softer volume for those with sensitivities. Many elements are repeated from one adapted storytime to the next to enforce repetition and help children understand that an event is happening around them. A playtime will conclude the session to work on social skills as well as gross motor skills and more. Adapted storytime is a judgment-free zone. Typically, developing siblings are welcome to attend but will need to register separately.

Registration is encouraged, so staff knows how many to expect. Please visit https://connectingforkids.org/library to register for the Library’s upcoming November 16 and December 21 events.
