It's a New Season to Learn to Skate!
Heading into my second season as Learn to Skate Director at Euclid’s C.E. Orr Arena, I am excited to help promote ice skating at the rink where I learned to skate so many years ago, and which inspired in me my lifelong career in skating.
Skating is a lifelong sport; the C.E. Orr Arena and the City of Euclid’s Learn to Skate program is a perfect place to master the basic skills. The Learn to Skate program offers something for everyone, covering the basic skills, tot and adult classes, as well as freestyle and hockey lessons.
The CE Orr Arena is scheduled to open for the 2019-2020 season the week of Monday, September 9th, with a Free Learn to Skate Lesson on Tuesday, September 10th. In addition to Tuesday's Learn to Skate session (which includes all skating levels and "Hockey Only" classes), the lesson schedule is expanding this season to include a Sunday lesson during the Open Skate from 12:30-2:00pm. We are excited to offer both weekday and weekend Learn to Skate this season, as well as an additional weekly public session giving residents more opportunities to spend time at the ice rink.
Lesson sign up can be done at Euclid City Hall or at the C.E. Orr Arena the first day of Learn to Skate. Please see the session list below which includes the start dates, lesson times, open skates, as well as additional information on rink programming. We look forward to seeing you at the rink and to another great skating season in Euclid!
