Parish Feast Day Procession Coming up on September 12th!

OLL Parishioners process with Marian statue on Feast Day, The Most Holy Name of Mary, September 12th.

Our Lady of the Lake’s Parish Feast Day is September 12th- The Most Holy Name of Mary.  Each year, on the feast day, OLL parishioners join in the beautiful tradition of processing through the neighborhood down to the beach where they honor Mary with prayers and a blessing from Fr. Joe at the lake itself.

After a hot dog roast, Fr. Joe leads with prayers and then the folks sing a litany as they process back to the church with a statue of Our Lady. Back at church, all join together for Evening Prayer and top off the evening with an Ice Cream Social.

This year is special because it marks the beginning of OLL’s 10 Year Anniversary (actually in February 2020).  With the 10 year anniversary in their sights, the parish enjoys holding fast to a very singular but special tradition of honoring Our Lady down by the Lake in which the parishioners hold so dear.
