Euclid Voters Approve Issue 2

On May 7, Euclid voters approved Issue 2, the Library's 5.6 mill operating levy.

On Tuesday, May 7, Euclid voters approved Issue 2, the Euclid Public Library’s operating renewal levy with 78% of the vote. The 5.6 mill operating levy generates $3.1 million each year and supports services and programming for more than 47,000 residents in the City of Euclid.


“On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of Euclid Public Library, I want to thank everyone in the City of Euclid for voting for Issue 2. For more than 84 years, EPL has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for our residents. Your support will allow the library to continue to offer valued programs and services. We cannot say thank you enough for your support,” said Euclid Public Library Director Kacie Armstrong.


Since 2014, EPL expanded its program offerings for adults and families, increased skills and job readiness training through Ohio Means Jobs, and began passport acceptance services in fall 2016. Additionally, in May 2019, EPL launched ten new personal Wi-Fi mobile hotspots increasing the service to 40 units available for check out to library cardholders.
