Euclid Alumni Gather for Annual Meeting

The Euclid Public Schools Alumni Association met on Saturday, March 23rd at the Euclid High School Little Theater to learn about the activities of the Association, its financial health and future plans for the organization. The EPSAA includes graduate from Euclid Central High School, Euclid Shore High School and Euclid (Senior) High School. Most decades were represented from the 1930s to the present, with May Carlgren Bana, Euclid Shore ’39, being the most "experienced" alumna in the audience.

The assembled group voted on updating the Association’s Code of Regulations, which were originally adopted in 1991. Major updates include opening up the age requirements in order to engage young alumni, allowing for more modern means of communication and increasing the number of Trustees, all of which will help the organization be more flexible in carrying out its mission of connecting alumni with each other, the school district and the community. This past year’s Trustees were re-elected: Patrick Delaney ‘83, Jessica Oslund Walters ’04, Beth Steele Radisek ’83, Ken Godnavec ’83 and Patrick McLaughlin ’86.

The meeting wrapped up with a presentation by Audrey Holtzman, Communications Specialist for the Euclid City School District, who talked about the current and future plans for renovations to the high school, as well as the construction of the middle school and Early Learning Village. Alumni interested in becoming a member of the Association or wanting to get more involved should check out the EPSAA website, euclidalumni.org, or the facebook page, EuclidSchoolsAlumni.
