Local Funeral Homes and Blogger Team Up to Offer Online Support

Local blogger (https://storiesfromasoulsister.wordpress.com) and Stay-at-Home Mom Emily Holody has teamed up with Funeral Director Steve Waite of Jakubs & Son and Jakubs-Waite Funeral homes.  Together they are working to provide the funeral homes Facebook pages with writings, inspirational quotes, and an online grief group (Facebook Fire and Rain Grief Group.)

"Our initial idea was to offer support and an online presence to the families who have chosen to work with the Jakubs funeral homes.  As our online presence continues to grow we hope to reach out to community families who are grieving and provide a place where all are welcome and feel supported in their journey through loss" said Holody

In the last 19 months Holody has lost her best friend and maternal grandmother to Cancer, her paternal grandmother to Alzheimer’s, an uncle to suicide, and just recently the unexpected loss of her father-in-law.  Holody admits that dealing with and moving through the pain of these losses has been difficult.  The continued support of her family and friends, writing, professional counseling, and sharing her story online has allowed for Holody to heal in ways she didn’t know possible.  "It is our hope that sharing our online community can provide friendship, light, support, and healing to all those who like us" Holody said.
