Kiddie City Childcare Community: Recipient of Dollar General Literacy Grant

Kiddie City Childcare Community is a 5-Star rated Step Up to Quality center.

Kiddie City Childcare Community is the proud recipient of a Dollar General Literacy Grant.  The grant was co-authored by Jennifer Morrison Garza, Curriculum & Instruction Consultant at Kiddie City, and Greg Bartram, retired teacher with the Euclid City Schools.The $3,000 grant from Dollar General will serve up to 30 School Age students in the after-school program, ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 6.  Kiddie City anticipates purchasing reading and literacy/educational games and tools, including a classroom library. 

This exciting new program has been named the "Dollar General Reading Club" and is scheduled to begin at the end of October.  The reading and literacy program will be led by Kiddie City staff Mr. Joe DiBartelomeo and Ms. Brianna Moffatt.  Kiddie City is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is located at 280 East 206th Street.  The center is in its 13th year of operation and serves infants through school age students.  It is currently a 5-Star rated Step Up to Quality center.
