Local Family Inspires By Honoring Son’s Legacy

The family of Army SPC Stephen McGowan continue to inspire and keep their son’s legacy alive 5 years after his death.
Last month,parents Michael and Mary McGowan,along with brothers and sisters Melissa and Mike & Amie Ferencz hosted their 5th Annual SPC Stephen McGowanGolf Outing in Euclid.
   Each year the McGowans select a different charity to support - this year it was Operation Warrior Wishes, a “Make A Wish” type foundation for Wounded vets and fallen heroes.
   The McGowans were also invited to the 5th Annual Warrior Wishes Golf Outing later in the month, where their son Stephen was honored again,with 4 other fallen heroes.
   At the Warrior Wishes event,the McGowan family presented Operation Warrior Wishes a check for $3000 in their son’s name.
