LCA to Host Picnic

Members and friends of The Lakeland Civic Association will enjoy a picnic on Saturday, August 18, with a raindate the following day Sunday, the 19th.  LCA hosts its first—hopefully annual—summer picnic between 5pm and 8pm on the neighborhood's famous Triangle formed within Walnut, Markbarry, and Beech Avenues.

On the menu, LCA will serve guests pop, water and coffee, chicken, pizza, fruit kabobs, and cookies, with an ice cream vendor on-hand. The committee reminds picnickers to bring blankets or chairs, and their appetites. A competitive attitude might come in handy for the several games to be contested. Did somebody say cornhole?

Neighbors who aren't yet members of the Lakeland Civic Association will have the chance to find out more about the group's work and to join at its very frugal ten dollar annual fee.

The inaugural summer picnic adds to LCA's list of annual events. The association also hosts regular quarterly meetings that explore events and issues that affect the 50+ year old group and the City of Euclid.
