Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) “My Summer Job”

Euclid YOU students show off their work to beautify the traffic median at East 238th Street and Elmwood Drive.

The City of Euclid provided supervised work experience opportunities this summer for Euclid students through the Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) “My Summer Job” program. Some of the youth were assigned to a Beautification Crew, mentored by staff of the City’s Planning and Development Department, who cleaned up a number of City-owned properties and public areas. The team mulched, trimmed, removed brush, picked up debris, and even built a new trellis at the Ambler Realty Historical Marker. The YOU program has provided workforce preparation and youth development programs in Cuyahoga County since 1982.
