Euclid Art Association Summer Fine Art Show Opens in the Gallery at Lakeland
The Euclid Art Association Summer Fine Art Show opened in The Gallery at Lakeland with a reception on Sunday, July 23. Ninety-one works representing 36 members will remain on exhibit at Lakeland Community College until September 8, 2017.
Eddie Mitchell merited Best in Show with A Fabulous Finale 1, anoil painting on canvas. His Rachel Portrait tookFirst Place in the Graphic Art category, while A Fabulous Finale 2 earned Second Place inOil/Acrylic Painting. Other First Place awards include Dorothy Geisert: A Flowing Rivulet (Acrylic), Char D’Errico: Musette (Watercolor), Barb Everett: On Mont Royale (Mixed Media) andLee Peters: Asymmetrical Symmetry # 2 (Photography).
Gallery coordinator Mary Urbas judged the show. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. not including Labor Day. The Gallery at Lakeland is located in the D-Building (near the clock tower) on the first floor. Visitors entering the campus from Rt. 306 will need to observe new traffic patterns due to construction, finding it worthwhile to circle the campus to park nearby.
The Euclid Art Association meets from September through June on the first Monday of the month and sponsors exhibits and workshops. See the website at www.euclidart.com.
