Euclid Hunger Center Kicks off Summer!

After a day of threatening dark clouds, the sun shone brightly on the 7th annual "Kick Off Summer" fundraiser, which benefitted the Euclid Hunger Center. More than 150 guests gathered under the pavilion at Briardale Greens Golf Course for an evening of food, beverages, music, raffles and fun.

"We were thrilled with the large turnout," said Board President Grace Wright.  "It's great to see the event growing and attracting new people every year."

The hunger problem in Euclid is very real, and the Euclid Hunger Center plays a critical role in helping families with food insecurity.  On average, the Hunger Center distributes food to 800 families per month, and while it receives some funding from outside sources, it is also dependent upon individual donations.  Fortunately, the citizens and businesses of Euclid have always been extremely supportive of the Hunger Center's mission of "neighbors helping neighbors."   Many local establishments and individuals donated raffle prizes, food and beverages for the event, and contributed to its great success.
