Euclid Art Association Spring Fine Art Show Held At The Euclid Public Library May 13 - May 20, 2017

BEST OF SHOW -  Dottie Geisert's The Edge of the Forest

The Euclid Art Association presented awards at the 2017 Spring Art Show reception on the evening of May 17 at the Euclid Public Library.  Members and guests filled the exhibit area, enjoying refreshments while viewing more than 150 works of art by members.  The annual show was open to the public for one week during library hours.

Euclid Art board members sporting new club T-shirts did not go unnoticed.  Guests joined members in ordering shirts, along with purchasing works of art and raffle tickets for an original watercolor.  The lucky raffle winner, Sue Driscoll, was announced on Sunday, May 21.

EAA President Lee Peters announced award winners, concluding with Dorothy Geisert’s mixed media The Edge of the Forest, the 2017 Best of Show.  Cash 1st Place category awards went to Suzette F. Cohen (oil and acrylic), Juanita Sweet (watercolor), Jeri Kluiber (graphic art), Michelle Brown (mixed media), Dennis McDonnell (photography) and Christine Siarka (three-dimensional art).  Along with honoring 2nd and 3rd Place cash award winners, Peters recognized the passing last September of Pat Snook, who was active in EAA and the Lake Shore Garden Club among her many pursuits.  Ribbons on the art designated the award winners, along with Honorable Mentions in each category.  To see pictures of all the show winners, visit our website EuclidArt.com, Art Shows page.

Laurel Herbold judged the show.  Known for the Wee People brand of merchandise and artwork, she is a freelance artist in the 78th Street Studios in Cleveland, does custom acrylic murals and works at Eikona Studios in Tremont doing religious icons.
