Dessert with Rosa Parks

Wednesday, February 15

7:00 PM / Lake & Shore Rooms

Join the Friends of the Library for a special evening with “the first lady of civil rights,” Rosa Parks. In 1955, the civil rights activist refused to surrender her bus seat, spurring the Montgomery boycott and other efforts to end segregation. Meet the woman the United States Congress called, “the mother of the freedom movement,” through a special reenactment while enjoying dessert. Tickets are available at the library for $7 per person. Call (216) 261-5300 for more information.
