The Euclid Art Association Held its Annual Christmas Party & Chinese Auction at the Henn Mansion

A great time was had by all at our 2016 Annual Euclid Art Association Christmas Party, Potluck Dinner and Chinese Auction Fundraiser.....the year, held at the Henn Mansion in Euclid on Monday, December 5.  What a beautiful venue to hold our party.  It was nicely decorated for the holidays.  We had 61 members and guests in attendance....all enjoying an evening of fun with friends, fantastic food and huge auction.

Not only are our members talented artists, but also great cooks!  The food choices abounded on the appetizer table and among the many choices of salads and delicious entrees....not so much on the dessert table this year.  Did you get to try Michelle’s chicken noodle soup, Steve’s turkey chili with a secret ingredient, Joan’s organic chicken enchiladas, Sue Ann’s corn casserole, Sharon’s spaghetti and meatballs, Mary Ann’s walnut-pear salad, or Kathy’s ambrosia salad on the dessert table?  Many thanks to Sandi and her team of food experts who worked so hard to set out all that food....and to keep the hot items hot and the cold items cold!  Great job everyone!

After dinner, the auctioneer team of Rozenia, Jaden and Beth called out the winning numbers.  Great job, team!  There were so many great items on the auction tables this year that you needed to buy more and more tickets to increase your chance of winning them.  We especially thank Joan and Dottie, Mary Ann and Deb, too for the excellent job they did setting up the display of auction items.  And, most importantly, we thank everyone who brought them in, including Euclid Mayor Kristen Holzheimer-Gail for the gift basket of ‘wine & glasses’.  We especially thank local businesses for their donations - Heinen’s, Euclid Blue, Dog Days Grooming Salon, Euclid Brewing Company, Lakefront Seafood & Grill, Bronco Beverage, Art It Yourself, MAVZPIX Photo Art Studio.....did we forget anyone?  We made two-dollars shy of $500 for our scholarship fund - the best ever!

Not only do we give a big thank you to all the volunteers who showed up to set the tables...Diane, Carolyn, Kathy...., but to everyone who stayed to clean up.  A thousand thanks from Sandi, “without you, it would never have happened.”

And, didn’t Dennis McDonnell take great pictures from the evening’s festivities?  Thank him by taking a look at the pictures and letting him know what you think.....to see them, check out his website http://www.pbase.com/tileman533/euclid_arts_christmas_16. Enjoy!
