Euclid Finance Department Receives Award

Nancy Fisher and James Smith from Euclid Finance Department

The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the City of Euclid by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).  The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. 

The Award was presented to Finance Director James Smith and his staff at the Euclid City Council meeting on Monday, December 19th.  Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail recognized all the staff of the Euclid Finance Department for their hard work and dedication.  Mayor Gail, her adminstration, and City Council also honored Nancy Fisher upon her retirement from the Finance Department after 42 years of service and dedication to the City of Euclid.  We extend our best wishes to Nancy on her retirement and congratulate the Euclid Finance Department on a job well done!
